| The Rapidox 2100 portable oxygen gas analyser is packed with features normally only available in oxygen analysers costing thousands of pounds. From the display to the outputs, all features are fully user-programmable using the menu system on the front panel. Easy to use and simple to calibrate using your choice of gases, the Rapidox 2100 offers exceptional performance and flexibility using a rugged, long-life zirconia oxygen sensor. The Rapidox comes with powerful Windows software for easy data-logging and graphing. Just switch on and start measuring Rapidox 2100 Unit: The Rapidox 2100 is an attractive metal instrument with plastic membrane front and rear panels. The menu system is accessed via a 5-button keypad on the front. The unit weighs approximay 5kg and is fitted with adjustable rubber feet and strong carry handle. The unit is mains powered （110/240V 50/60Hz） and is supplied with mains cable. Case dimensions W=250mm; D=263mm; H=150mm. Response, Accuracy and Precision: Sensor response time is typically 4 seconds for a 90% response involving a step change in composition. A change between 21% and * can be recorded in less than 4 seconds depending on flow-rates. High accuracy is maintained between calibration points. Accuracy is ± 1% of the actual measured oxygen content with a precision of ± 0.5%. Outside calibration range accuracy is typically ± 2.5%. Display: The display on the front of the instrument is a large back-lit LCD with 2 X 16 characters 9mm high. The display can be read quite easily from a distance of several meters. Display update rate is user-programmable. Displays four significant figures of oxygen （O2）. The display notation （percent, ppm, exponential or 'automatic'） is user selectable. Values of oxygen below 10e-1ppm are always displayed using exponential notation. Working range is 10e-20ppm （=10e-24%） to *. Temperature display: type 'K' thermocouple 0 to 999 degrees Celsius. The display can also be set to read in pressure （Torr or MPa）. Sensor Head: Zirconia 'Nernstian' cell housed in a metal case with 18mm 0.5mm pitch thread for tapping into pipes and flues. Operates at pressures of 10-4 Torr to positive pressure of 200 bar. Sensor is heated to approximay 650oC using a platinum resistance heater. Temperature is measured and controlled by the Rapidox unit and gives enhanced stability to the calibration. Sensor body external length is 66mm. Projection into the gas stream is 28.2mm. Cable length is 2m. Sensor life expectancy is typically 35,000 hours in clean gases. To download a technical drawing of the sensor format please click here Calibration: Simple and fully flexible calibration procedure requires two calibration gases （ambient air is normally used as calibration gas no. 1）. Gas compositions are user-selectable and programmed into the Rapidox via the front panel keypad. Factory pre-sets can be reloaded to allow the unit to be 'rescued' from a failed calibration. Rapidox is calibrated using the keypad on the front panel. Display changes into calibrate mode to inform user of progress. Operating temperature: Gas temperature must not exceed 650oC and should ideally be kept below 350oC for optimum performance. Sensor cables must not exceed 300oC. Rapidox analyser unit normal operating temperature is 5-35oC. Outputs: RS232 outputs on demand values for oxygen （ppm）, temperature （Celsius）, time （hh:mm:ss） and date （dd:mm:yy in the UK, mm:dd:yy in the USA） once per second. Outputs can be data-logged using the software provided. Standard analogue outputs are 0-5V and 4-20mA and alarm （high and low condition） circuits. These outputs are fully user-programmable via keypad on the front panel. |
