The Prism UltraLite VoIP Test Solution

For VoIP testing, the Prism UltraLite uses the Offline MediaPro, a software-based add-on application that analyzes files captured by the interfaces. A comprehensive testing solution, the Offline MediaPro analyzes parameters such as audio quality, quality of service, grade of service, signaling integrity and compliance with standards, making it an essential tool for developers, Internet service providers and carriers, quality assurance labs, end users and anyone working with VoIP.

The Prism UltraLite Cellular Test Solution

Using the GPRS Consultant, the Prism UltraLite performs internetwork testing and monitoring of GPRS interfaces, SS7 networks and packet data networks. Operational for both online and offline, the GPRS Consultant also addresses session-level presentation of traffic and errors in the network, with powerful drill-down analysis, both on the signaling and transmission plane. The GPRS Consultant can run in online or offline mode using the protocol analyzer. The support of a range of ecom technologies such as SS7, V5 and cellular protocols in addition to H.323, MGCP and SIP over traditional WAN/LAN data protocols, makes the Prism UltraLite WAN/Fast LAN/ecom analyzer an ideal and natural tester for packet ephony.

The Prism UltraLite Datacom Test Solution

As a datacom test solution, the Prism UltraLite provides extensive support for a complete range of datacom protocols and complementary applications. From Frame Relay to WAN/LAN, Internet and ISDN testing, the Prism UltraLite detects, troubleshoots and offers solutions to solve problems.

Frame Relay Testing

In Frame Relay testing, main features include Expert Troubleshooter; DLCI activity analysis and load; FR user and network monitoring and simulation; CIR violation testing.

WAN/Fast LAN Testing

Prism UltraLite is one of the most portable and comprehensive WAN/Fast LAN testing solutions available on the market today, with support for up to 2 Mbps on WANs and full bus utilization on LANs. RADCOM provides testing capabilities for over 450 protocols and a wide variety of interfaces.

Typical applications for WAN/LAN testing include testing both sides of a switch at the same time, or monitoring the WAN and LAN sides of a router.

RADCOM"s solutions are not only portable, but contain easily field-replacable modules to support different interfaces. This enables a quick change from analyzing a WAN/WAN segment to analyzing a WAN/LAN segment.

The Prism UltraLite can be used to simultaneously test an Ethernet LAN (or Fast LAN) and WAN to isolate internetworking problems.

The Prism UltraLite"s 2-channel screen display shows a graphic pie chart of the Ethernet top talker on the LAN and details of the captured data on the WAN.

Internet Testing

ISDN Testing

The Prism UltraLite can perform ISDN BRI & PRI monitoring and simulation of D-channel signaling and B-channel data. With the 2-channel option, the Prism UltraLite can be used to monitor BRI and X.25 lines simultaneously.
