The AFD257 SSD is the next generation of storage device based on an advanced industrial flash memory technology, it has a tough outer metal case, enormous capacities, high reliability and anti-shock features that make it ideal to replace traditional HDD.  In response to customer needs, Apacer launched this AFD 257 Core Techology SSD with Data Security benefit. It comes with three built-in data security functions - Full Erase, Destroy, and Write Protect to provide advanced and upgraded data security advantages.

The AFD257 Core Techology SSD series has expandability up to 256GB. It comes not only with high-standard value-added security functions, but also the newest transmission technology - PIO Mode-4, MWDMA Mode-2, and Ultra DMA-6. It also supports 72-bit ECC function, wear-leveling technology, and S.M.A.R.T. self-monitoring analysis reporting technology.

Core Technology

CoreEraser:
The CoreEraser Technology provides highly comprehensive drive sanitization measures, developed to securely and thoroughly erase data in operating blocks. The CoreEraser Technology comes in three classes of block sanitizations and can be implemented through vendor software command or hardware architect.

CoreProtector:
The widespread adoption of SSDs over HDDs in mission critical applications may attract potential data theft. In order to reinforce data security, Apacer introduce the  CoreProtector Technology that integrates multiple layers of protection for the valuable data.
CoreDestroy:
The CoreDestroyer Technology terminates all the data in the drive, even the firmware and the management table. The drive would be unable to perform its functions.
