超声波流量计是通过检测流体流动对超声束(或超声脉冲)的作用以测量流量的仪表。8175 型设备是一种无接触式液位传送器，用于在开放式或封闭式容器中测量液位或体积，在特定的条件下，也可应用于固体（根据休止角度的不同）。声波流量计由超声波换能器、电子线路及流量显示和累积系统三部分组成。超声波发射换能器将电能转换为超声波能量，并将其发射到被测流体中。

It is used to measure liquid level or volume in an open or closed container, under certain conditions, and can also be applied to solids (depending on the Angle of rest). Sound wave meter consists of three parts: ultrasonic transducer, electronic circuit and flow display and accumulation system. The ultrasonic transmitter converts electric energy into ultrasonic energy and sends it into the body of the detector.
