DCS控制模式
- 在variable power input 接线头或是在DCS控制器背部的fixed power input jack接线头位置接上直流电或是交流电。
- 把轨道接上output jack接线头位置。
- 设置proto-sound 2.0，或是设置安装上轨道上的引擎
- 此时，液晶显示屏将显示如下数据
- 按下DCS按键
- 按下ADD键，把引擎添加到DCS控制器上
- 此时，液晶显示屏将显示如图所示的引擎位置和SMPH数据
- 按下START-UP键，可以启动proto-sound 2.0或者后面的引擎，液晶显示屏将显示声音，亮灯和冒烟的标志
- 向上调整转轮到你想要的速度，这样火车就可以开动了
- 请参阅DCS feature/function一表，了解proto-sound 2.0和安装的引擎所具有的性能。这本手册（DCS feature/function）里对每一个特征和功能都进行了详细的解说ADV151-P00数字输入模块。
DCC（pass-thru）模式
- 将DCC系统里的轨道输出（track output）连接到DCS控制器的variable power input jacks接口上。
- 将DCC station通上电，与此同时，DCS控制器也将通电（只需要用DCC系统提供的一小部分的电）。此时，液晶显示屏上将显示“PASS”字样，提示该模式。
- 用DCC手控控制器来调控DCC上的引擎。
- 如果你确定以DCS模式来运行proto-sound 2.0或者后置引擎（later-equipped engines），你可以按DCS按钮，就可以选择装有proto-sound引擎，以DCS模式发动火车模型。你也可以看到DCS控制器的液晶显示屏上面的相应的显示变化数字输入模块。
注意：当DCS控制器是pass-thru模式的时候，它只能在轨道上将DCC信号传输给引擎。DCS控制器和DCC信号用以增强或改变引擎无任何关系。
如何操作上述模式
模拟直流电模式
- 电源是通过variable power input 端口或是fixed power input jack接口输入的
- 交流电输入（AC input）可以调整为flat-line DC
- Variable input terminal接口既可以接直流电，也可以接交流电。Fixed power input原本是设计用于连接AC brick（比如MTH Z1000），但是，直流电也是可以的。
- 对于所有的直流电引擎（HO），包括MTH HO引擎，都可以考虑传统模式的操作方法
- 以下功能是可用的数字输入模块：
